Most housemates in this apartment are Cornell graduate students. However, it is possible that subsidized programmers may become housemates here over the coming year.
This is a fully furnished, renovated 3-bedroom 1.5 bath second floor apartment with high ceilings and a spacious, airy feel.
If you are quiet and focused on studying, don't like living in run-down dumps, like a modern and fully equipped kitchen for preparing your food, have a car or bike or don't mind the bus, this may well be the place for you.
There are closer places to Cornell that are the same price, but really run down, or are clean and modern but far more expensive and much smaller.
Our manager is Thomas Ward, who lives onsite and looks after our 6 apartments and everyone who lives here.
This apartment is normally shared by Cornell researchers, postdocs, PhD candidates, graduate students, etc. There are numerous good reviews of living here on Google for our location at 811 N Tioga St (4.9 average).
The person we seek for this apartment is a respectful, quiet person, who knows how to clean their own dishes, take out their own trash, keep their space clean, etc. This housemate should be old enough to know you can't flush all the trash down the garbage disposal in the sink, and that space heaters are only to be used when at home for a short time. They should not leave windows open with the heat or AC on, etc.
All utilities are included in our rents. For $800/month, one housemate gets both a small bedroom (B) and a small office (also B), the other housemate would have the medium sized bedroom (A). The third housemate is Jadyn, who is already moving into the apartment. Jadyn is managing the AI House project we are starting up in the coming year.
This apartment has a large chef's kitchen with three door refrigerator, full-sized gas stove, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. It a commercial restaurant sink, and plenty of cabinets.

This is one of the larger apartment houses in Fall Creek, the sleepy residential neighborhood below Cornell.
Leases in this apartment are not joint and several, so you are NOT potentially responsible for anyone else's rent.
We seek a mature professional or graduate student who understands recycling, cooperation, and how to live in quiet harmony. There is no television in this apartment and we don't have parties.
The rent includes all utilities, including high speed Internet. Use of the the shared laundry machines is free, and we even provide the soap!
Note: We are starting up a project we call AI House, which is a programming and AI live-in incubator. We are specifically looking for Fall-only tenants while we search for more programmers to join the project. Full year tenants who are not programmers are not as well suited to this situation, because we hope to find programmers by the Spring, and the Fall-only option is extremely useful to students who always have a hard time finding such accommodations in Ithaca.
