Rock Voices is hiring a talented experienced guitar player for 3 dates in Ithaca, NY - possible Rehearsal in Syracuse (Travel will be compensated)
Gig is playing in a Rock/Pit band supporting an adult, community Rock Chorus. The song-list is below.
Rock Voices is a unique blend of community chorus and rock star experience. Members learn familiar rock and rock-adjacent music from the past 70 years over a 12-week rehearsal season, and then perform to a sold-out audience with a live band. This experience is life-changing for the members of this choir. We're seeking players who understand the significance of this experience.
Ensemble is Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass and Drums.
We are looking for a versatile player to play Acoustic and Rhythm Guitar for these dates.
Lead Sheets are provided (specific to Acoustic/Rhythm Guitar, and players are asked to "play the record" to some extent. The lead sheets are specific to guitar part (lead/rhythm, etc). We want the accompaniment to reflect the original material, so the choir feels as though they are singing along with Boston or Three Dog Night, or Steely Dan etc... Attention to detail is paramount, along with solid chops, and an openminded, approachable perspective.
