Open Back (Old time), 5-string banjo. Unusual 12" rim. 18 frets with scoop. Remo "renaissance" head. Rosewood neck, Maple neck and pot, brass tone ring. 12" rim gives it "warmth and depth" according to Brad Koloder. An enthusiastic review byKolodner with demo can be found here:

I've only played it two or three times. Sound great, good sustain.
