I have an assortment bunch of reclaimed barn boards. There are just 3 (I think) that aren’t barn boards, but are weathered just the same. Some of the barn boards are from the outside of the barn, some from the inside, and the 2 largest pieces are floor boards from the loft inside. Everything has been scrubbed thoroughly with soap and water on both sides. 1 thin coat of spray-type polyurethane has been applied to the side seen in the first picture.
There is a lot of texture to these boards and I would recommend more polyurethane if they will be in reach as splinters are likely. Most of the boards are relatively delicate and would not be best suited for holding weight; they’re best used as a decorative facade.
Some edges are tongue-and-groove (though surely they won’t fit into one another).
