At Butler Hardwood Lumber we take great pride in producing high quality live edge slabs and lumber for our valued customers.
That's why we purchase the highest quality logs to saw on our 80" wide bandsawmill. Our highly skilled sawyers position each log to get the most beautiful grain and figure from each slab. The next step is the most important and overlooked by other producers of live edge slabs. We properly dry our slabs and lumber in our kiln. If lumber is not kiln dried the the wood can warp and check up the ends and not accept a finish because of the high moisture content. We can also plane, sand and professionally finish coat our kiln dried live edge slabs only at Butler Hardwood Lumber.
We have hundreds of slabs to choose from in walnut cherry pine cedar cotton wood maple oak ash and more species arriving on a regular basis.
If you would like to set up a time to come see our huge selection of many of our native tree species feel free to give us a call or text. We are conveniently located on Rt13 north of Elmira and south of Ithaca.
Thanks for looking and happy woodworking. Scot.
