The Cherry Arts Inc. Marketing Coordinator position calls for a creative, flexible, organized person who can work regular in-person hours. The Cherry is a multidisciplinary arts facilitator and creator in Ithaca NY, curating our flexible venues, the Cherry Artspace, Cherry Gallery and Camilla Schade Studio. The Cherry Arts is committed to increasing and maintaining the diversity of our creative family and encourages all qualified applicants.
Part-time, up to 28 hours/week non-exempt; $19/hr

Primary Responsibilities (marketing):
- Create marketing materials (Adobe suite) for Cherry projects & initiatives, including social media, print, web, and short video, including copywriting
- Create weekly marketing newsletter (Mailchimp) with staff, including drafting text
- Post daily on one or more social media feeds (Facebook, Instagram) in consultation with staff
- Update website (Wordpress) regularly in consultation with F/T staff
- Create and link event registration Google forms to marketing materials, or by QR code, responding to related technical issues with form access
- Collaboratively draft and submit press releases to regional outlets, tracking coverage
- Create show programs (InDesign) including advertising and sponsorship recognition
- Attend in-person staff meetings on Mondays (or as rescheduled for holidays)
- Attend in-person follow-up meetings and work sessions as needed
- Take photos on a regular basis of events, rehearsals, and publicity photo shoots
- Contribute to development communications and research as needed

Secondary Responsibilities (administration support):
- Support the Cherry’s General Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks, including box office support, general operations and communications
- Support GM in delegating tasks to our work study and intern team

The Cherry Arts is a small organization and from time to time the entire staff is asked to pull together to achieve things that may be outside of strict job definitions. These tasks can include participating in organizing fundraising events and attending them, participating in major fundraising pushes or spring cleanings, and the like.
