compensation: $14/hour
employment type: part-time

This is a fun, easy side-job for a busy person who likes to get things done and make good money on the side. The pay is $14 per hour and the amount of hours per month is 10.

I am a musician with decades of experience who runs several local bands and has had a booking agent work for me for many of those years.

You would represent all of the bands, research venues, reach out to them, and get gigs. You would mostly do this by email, facebook, messenger, and sometimes by phone or by mail. You mostly do this on your own time except when a pre-arranged call has been scheduled. I will give you leads of where I have played before and you will also be expected to research venues and connect with them to explore booking options.

My business strategy is always to create win/ win situations for everyone involved: for the business owner, the customers/ patrons/ fans, myself, the other musicians, and you (the booking agent).

In order to begin exploring this wonderful opportunity, you have to show me that

a) you can follow direction
b) you know how to write well
c) you can sell yourself (because if you can't sell yourself, you won't be able to sell my services)
d) you are self-disciplined enough to follow up.

I know this may sound like a lot to do for someone you don't even know, but think about the fact that, most likely, very few people reading this will do the pre-screening portion of the application exactly as I describe below. So if you do, you'll do dramatically increase your chances of getting the position. If you don't do it or only do it partially you will have eliminated yourself for consideration.

Pre-screening Application Process

1. Write a short introductory paragraph saying who you are and what job you're applying for.

2. List 3 bullet points of why I should consider your application more than anyone else's.

3. Invite me to contact you and provide contact details. Also, say you will follow up with me in a day or two to make sure I received it.

4. The day after you send the email, contact me again saying you are following up and to ask me what I thought of the previous email.

I wish you the best of luck and I look forward to your application. :)
