I am a 71 year old, Autistic, Mainframe Systems Administrator. I'm retired, with lots of time on my hands. I was diagnosed first in 2010, with two other evals since, so I have no doubts of my mental well being. I strongly believe in peer-to-peer help, regarding Aspergers. I have 3 children, two of which are also affected, with a possible third. I understand the lineage connections; even my own cannot or will not.

My goal is to have a small group of autistics, maybe 4 to 6, would be a good number, and meet weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly, rotating places so as they are near to attendees. We used to use Ihop because they normally have a private room or two; or even people's homes.
I'd plan personal skits and discussions, all centering around we autistics reaching our emotions, not our intellects, and work with those emotions in recognizing and appreciating others; especially family members. It's a dream; help me to make it a reality.
I am Chapter 11 of Dr. Temple Grandin's first book, "Different - Not Less". It was only 3-months after my first diagnosis, so I'm not too proud of how I answered her questions, back in 2010, which is what these meetings are all about.
We want to extend this to include the Rochester area; initial plans are to meet at Eastview Mall.
