This wall system was designed by Dyrlund in the minimalist Danish Modern style, and built in Denmark in 1967.
It consists of two parts, a book case with locking glass doors, and a sideboard. Both are made entirely of teak, with steel hardware. The book case is in perfect condition, without even a minor scratch on the glass, and the sideboard is in excellent condition, with some minor scratches, and a small chip off the back. All locks, hinges, runners, shelves, and drawers are in perfect condition, and move easily, with no binding. Both pieces were very well maintained, and have retained all of their original beauty. The wood was regularly oiled, and still springs to life in shades of gold when polished.
I've seen very similar Dyrlund wall systems from the same time in similar condition sell for $3800 to $5000. I'm asking $1500, or $800 each if sold individually.
It's an exclusive design, from a known Danish Modern designer, and adds a minimalist elegance to any dining room. The ideal buyer could be someone who collects Dyrlund furniture in particular, or Danish Modern furniture in general, someone who would use it to accentuate other styles of furniture, or someone who knows its value, and is willing to do some refinishing work in order to resell it for a considerable profit.
