2004 Ford Freestar-
Solid Freestar with a strong engine. Good looking van. No dents. Good paint. All panels are solid. Was a Florida van till a couple years ago so has almost no rust. Good exhaust. New headlights, new windshield, new CV-Axles, Good brakes. Good tires, almost new. New plugs and wires. Newer EGR Valve. Newer alternator. High miles- nearly 200k. Trailer hitch. Stow-and-Go back seat. Seats 7. Many new parts. Fairly clean. 3 sets of keys.
The bad- Needs a transmission. These vans are known for strong engines but they are also notorious for tranny troubles. With another tranny could go another 100k?.. I replaced the torque converter about 20k miles ago. But now the tranny clicks and slips in low gears. I have still been driving it. It will move and drive. Also since I have been driving it less, sometimes the power steering gets a little stiffer...and then it goes back to normal again...don't know why??
I have had quite a few minivans. I like the way this van handles on the road better than any others I have driven. I just don't want to invest in what it would take to put in a new transmission.
I pulled the stereo out. I am selling this van as a parts van unless you want to do the work.
