Other than being good with people, time management, email, scheduling, and most of all someone with a dynamic and outgoing demeanor: all that is needed is a solid work ethic, good communication skills and a drive to succeed.
We are a local employer looking for a people person who also has the ability to be well organized, and the ability to fulfill a multitude of roles as any person at a small business typically does. This is a front facing position where you will be dealing with our clientele in and out of the office.
Experience is not necessary, but the above skills are a must. Other requirement are having a clean driving record, ability to work with diverse groups of people, ability to be learn and be trained accordingly, be of good moral character, and most of all have the desire to always try and keep every interaction positive and find the best outcome.
Our schedule is more busy certain times of year than others as is typical in Ithaca, with some times of the year being slower and some times of the year being more busy. Occasional overtime during our busiest time of year is most likely required, and paid time off is accrued throughout the year.
We are favoring someone who is looking for long-term employment and who would like to grow with the position, hence us looking for someone who is interested in a career rather than a job. We have been in business over twenty years, so long-term employment to us is counted in years.
While a college degree is not a requirement, since Ithaca is mostly filled with either college students, or well educated types, if the applicant does not have a college degree, they must feel comfortable and have the ability to carry on rapport with those that do.
