I have a relatively large collection of old pre-loved bikes, accumulated over twenty years. Some are road bikes, some are old mountain bikes. Typically I fix these up and sell them on a rolling basis, but I've realized that I have way more than I'll be able to finish any time soon, and that I should probably also open up the collection for sale to other people interested in refurbishing or tinkering.

When I say "old" I mean in most cases pre-2000. These are in varying conditions, but all have some rust or blemishes and are in need of replacement parts and repair. Some are as old as 1930, on average most are probably from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Most are middle-of-the-road brands - so no Eddie Merckx or Campagnolo. Typical brands are Peugeot, Panasonic, Trek, Raleigh, Motobecane, Specialized, Fuji, Lotus, Schwinn, Univega; brands you'd use as daily drivers. Mostly steel frames. Road frames are nearly all lugged. Sizes vary.

If you are mechanically minded, this could be a great way of getting a cool old bike on the cheap. If you're not mechanically minded but want to learn, see the "more ads by this user" link over to the right to check out my repair instruction sessions.

There are a few bikes in the collection that I'm not interested in selling at all, and I will not sell to scrappers or those wanting bikes to tear apart for "art projects". I'm only interested in selling to people interested and willing to fix a bicycle (or multiple bikes) up. I am in no hurry to get rid of these.

Most of the bicycles I'm willing to sell I'd probably let go for $50-75/ea, a few for even less. Prices could be even lower if you're also interested in repair instruction sessions. A cool benefit to adding repair instruction to a purchase is that it allows you the additional option of customizing your bike.

Contact is by email only, either via Craigslist or the address in the image above. Please reach out and schedule an appointment! It would be great if some of these bicycles, which might have sat around for years before I could get to them, could go instead to someone that wants them now.
