As some of you may know, Osage Orange wood is very 'characterful' with bends and twists, and is about the most rot-resistant wood there is. We have harvested a few smaller trees that probably died 10, 20, or even 30 or more years ago. The wood is still as sound as it was decades ago! These pieces might be used for turning stock, small craft creations, terrarium decor, taxidermy mounts, walking sticks, and a few of the pieces might even be suitable to use to make archery bows (when available, this was a preferred tree species for bow making by many native American tribes long ago).
The 'cookies' you see pictured have been cut about 5/8 inch thick from branches about 2 to 3 inches in diameter, and could be used for a variety of craft creations! We can cut ‘cookies’ to your specifications for trivets, coasters, or beautiful, unique accents for your resin and/or river tables!! So your imagination is the limit here! :-)
The pieces we have range from about 1 to 6 inch diameter, and are anywhere from 2 or 3 feet to 6 or 7 feet long.
Price is $1.00 per linear foot per inch of average diameter - a piece 3 feet long and 4 inches in diameter would be $12, a piece 2 inches in diameter and 7 feet long would be $14, etc.
The cookies pictured here are only $2 each.
