We are located in upstate NY and we make all kinds of products for pets.

All of our items are hand made from first quality materials. You choose from over 100 fabrics (cotton or flannel). Pillow beds are made from the fabric of your choice on top, and we will use a coordinating flannel on the opposite side (which makes them "reversible" since you can use either side). Pillows will be filled with 100% Premium Polyester poly-fil that is non-allergenic.

They are completely machine washable - no zippers or fasteners. Just toss it in the washing machine on gentle cycle and tumble dry. Comes out just like new!

He has come from a bad situation and just needs some love and attention. He is housebroken, he does well on a leash but also stays right with you when he is off the leash. Great Dane looking for new home (downtown)

We are looking for a new home for our 5 year old Great Dane. Her name is Greta. She is sweet, affectionate, and fairly high maintenance. Most importantly, she has very specific care needs. Our decision to find her a new home is not a hasty or spontaneous one. Given our history with Greta, we intend to be very thoughtful and selective in her relocation. Her new caregivers must be able to meet all of her physical and emotional needs, as well as fully understand the work and commitment that caring for Greta will entail. She is an amazing creature and has been a joy in our lives since we acquired her as an 8 week-old puppy.

Greta�s personality is generally low-key and easy-going, though she will enjoy playing with people and other dogs at times. She can be physically active when given the opportunity- she especially enjoys time outside in the form of hikes, romps in the yard, and wandering about while exploring the world around her. She also spends much of her day lying around, snoozing, and being classically Great Danish. She is very affectionate with her caregivers, and is eager to receive attention from those she trusts. She can be wary of new people, new dogs, and new children. She is very protective when on-leash and would do best in a relaxed leash-free recreational setting. That said, she is also an excellent running partner and has good over-all leash manners.

Our reasons for finding Greta a new home are multiple. We currently live in downtown Ithaca, and are finding is very difficult to make a healthy, happy home for this special girl. Simply put, our lifestyle and Greta�s needs are no longer compatible. She was previously living with some relatives in Minnesota. These family members expressed a desire to make a permanent home for her, which effected our decision to live in a small house downtown. (We had previously lived in country house on 20 acres). Due to unexpected health reasons, our relatives could not keep Greta and she was returned to our care. We feel that Greta needs a home out of the city with a slower pace and more space. Ideally, her new caregivers would be around the home often and able to give her the attention and companionship that she needs to be content. Greta�s caregivers must be patient, gentle, and willing to invest the time necessary to give her a positive and loving home.

We would like the process of finding Greta a new home to go something like this:
-Meeting new caregiver(s) at Greta�s home.
-Greta visits caregiver(s) home for extended amounts of time
-Greta spends several overnights with new caregiver(s)
-Visits from us after she has been relocated.
-Continued communication from new caregiver(s) regarding their own and Greta�s adjustment.

We believe that this gradually approach to relocation would be best for Greta, as she is inherently sensitive to new situations/people, and we would like to make this transition as stress-free as possible for her. No homes with children under 15 please.

$100 rehousing/adoption fee.

I have been a nanny for two families for over two years, but have to move to Ithaca for my husband's job in January 09.
Previous childcare experience: I am currently spending my mornings with a 3 yr old boy and a 5 yr old girl, sending their 8 yr old sister off to school and then spending a few after school hours M-F with two boys, 8 & 12 yrs old. I have a little girl (born May 07) who comes to work and plays with her 'cousins.'

Ideally I am looking for the same connection with another family.

Hello! I am a 19 year old college student (non-smoker) and I am looking to babysit next school year and even longer if needed. I will be having an apartment in Cortland but going to school in Dryden and will go as far as Ithaca for serious inquires. I have my own car and a clean drivers license. Lost my phone! It's a white Sony Ericsson slider, the model is S500i. It's branded for some Italian company "TIM" but I was using it with an AT&T sim. Last place I had it was downtown on Aurora Street Sunday night and realized I did not have it near Cornell's West Campus later that night. I got a replacement sim so I could use an old phone of mine so if you find the phone it probably will not turn on. I really liked this phone and JUST bought it. Willing to pay for its safe return.

Hello -

I just wanted to let folks know about this ... especially if you are new in town! :-) I run a weekly instrumental acoustic folk jam on Wednesday nights every week. This jam has been going for about 6 years. We play fiddle dance tunes: Celtic, Irish, English, New England, French Canadian, and some American southern Old-time ... (suitable for contra dancing). We also on occasion play waltzes and hambos.

This is multi-skill level jam, where the tunes are played usually (not always) slower than dance speed for learning purposes. Sheet music and MP3's available for further study ... We welcome new musicians :-)

I also run a music email list (newsletter) of local acoustic events - including lots of other open jams in the area and listening opportunities. The volume is about one message per day. Some of the other regular jams I list (besides mine) are southern old-time, traditional bluegrass, singing, Irish, Celtic and Old English also occasional open band opportunities for acoustic instruments.

I am a Cornell grad student that frequently drives to NYC, and I am looking for other students to carpool for one or both ways of the drive.

I will leave Ithaca at 12 noon this Friday, and will leave NYC at 9:00 AM on Monday morning. I am a responsible and safe driver, and I drive a safe, large-size sedan that is pretty new and very reliable.

I only ask for you to split the gas and toll costs, which come out to about $30 each way.

This fall, popular Children's musician Tom Knight is making a music video of his song �The Garbage Monster� and you can help design the monster! And win cash prizes!

This contest is open to anyone, any age, regardless of artistic talent. In fact, a kid or a young person might have just the right imagination for this project.

It�s the �Design a garbage monster contest!�

Deadline for submissions is August 23rd, 2008.

How it works:
We're looking for a drawing or original photo of a "garbage monster," whatever you think that means. The winning design will be used as a blueprint for a builder to create the actual costume/puppet to be used in Tom Knight�s music video �The Garbage Monster� to be filmed this Fall.

The story: out of a pile of trash, a full-grown monster rises. It chases a 9 year-old kid around until he realizes that the monster is recyclable. He confronts the monster, and then removes each part, putting it in a recycling bin until there is nothing left of the monster, except the items in the recycling bin.

The actual size of the finished character in the film will be approximately 6 feet tall, or enough to intimidate a 2nd grade child when it �stands up.� We need a builder for the final character, but for now, we just want a drawing of photo to inspire the maker of the costume.

The winning design will be credited in the final film.

1. The character must appear to be made entirely of of recyclable materials - cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, tin cans, paper etc.

3. Each artist can make up to three separate submissions, with up to 3 separate views (front, and side. Rear view is optional.)
4. Individual images are not to exceed 1024KB in size or 2048 pixels width or height.

We have lost our cat in the town of Enfield. His name is Bongo and he is a long haired tigered cat and has been missing since July 17. He is a VERY people-friendly cat, wil hop into anyone's car and has a docile personality. He has wandered off three other times but has always made it home thanks to other people finding him.
